George Carlin is dead, and I'm not feeling too great myself. In that context I thought it would be nice to remember what is the primary rule of technological innovation, a rule that spans from hardware platforms to Web 2.0 mashups, a rule that Carlin formulated:
"If you nail two things together that have never been nailed together before, some schmuck will buy it from you."
