Flex !== RIA

I beg to differ, check out O'Reilly's insideria.com...

I concur with adev (and disagree with Driveby):

Adobe Flex (and Adobe AIR) !== RIA.

For instance, this Wikipedia article mentions 17 individual or clustered technologies/products for buliding RIAs:

There is some room for improvement in that article - for instance, the listing of Dojo Toolkit should likely be a generic category for JavaScript frameworks for building RIAs, and it's not clear whether those frameworks completely fit the RIA definition. It's evident, however, there are many more viable approaches to RIA than simply Flex/AIR, which seems to be the current focus of O'Reilly's insideria.com.
